Mekong River,Thailand The Mekong River runs through many countries like China, Burma, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, and Vietnam. Many people rely on this river for multiple things. Their main food source comes from the river. Fish are caught, plants are grown, and transported to other locations to be sold. The river also is a way of travel. Around the river is a jungle like terrain. The soil is vary fertile because of the river so it is relatively easy for plant life to grow. This river shows how life is dependent on water. This is one of many ways that shows the symbiotic relationship between water and humans.

When i read your post i realized that while we take water for granted others have a hard time just to get clean water for crops. This relates to my area in a way because because the river runs through many countrys and the ogalalla goes through many states. they both also help to get water. it differnt though because the mehkong ir really big and is in a fairly humid area while the ogalalla is in the middle of the great plains
